Could we not just skip the minification on staging and just do it for production? I would not mind if the production build takes longer. I am not so sure though, I like the two step process. Leaving out minification seems also a viable option to me.

BTW, Emmanuel Bernard - you really seem to have a fast machine. I lie around 7:15 with minification. It really is the biggest time consumer.
