So how are you doing this exactly? Are you choosing the interpolator solely based on the presence or absence of EL? I'm asking because in one of your links the user was actually using @DecimalMax and they got an uninterpolated message. So in that case it'd arguably be better to fail early if EL isn't present instead of enabling the parameter interpolator.
