John Mill, fyi, I tried compiling your sample project, but it fails due to unresolved dependencies. So it is really essential that you post the full stacktrace. Even better would be, if you also post a minimal test case (preferably JUnit or TestNG based) and the ultimate would be, if you could create a test case which runs as part of the Validator code base.
