For now I'm still setting the group sequence for default evaluation as I don't have control over all the points validation is being executed (context is DropWizard). I think DW does let me specicy validation groups but it's too big a hammer - it's only on certain resource types I want this level of control. I'm working around this at the moment by referencing a group (either relaxed or complete) on every constraint.

I'll head over to the that other project and continue the discussion referencing back to this one.
