This was added in HHH-7827 Closed . An example of its usage would be:

final AuditReader auditReader = AuditReaderFactory.get( session );
List results = auditReader.createQuery().forRevisionsOfEntity( MyEntity.class, true, false )
  .add( AuditEntity.revisionNumber().maximize().computeAggregationInInstanceContext() )
  .getResultList();

The resulting list will contain a row for each MyEntity by primary-key where the contents of the instance will be the snapshot of the latest revision.
