If you're interested in this issue, could you put together a test case using our test case template https://github.com/hibernate/hibernate-test-case-templates/tree/master/orm/hibernate-orm-5 and attach it to the JIRA?

Just build a test case as if the feature was working as you want it. That will be really helpful.
