I did reach out to the Hawkular team also about this. It is a possibility that pushing metrics to DW may be enough to have Hawkular "pick them up". Otherwise, if we want to support Hawkular we will need to go the "split module" route and find resources for implementing that SPI for Hawkular. It would seem to me DW is higher priority though.
