There are combinations of settings in Infinispan which are perfectly legal for other use cases of Infinispan but are not tolerated by Hibernate OGM.

Examples:

  • expiry of entries
  • eviction without passivation
  • ...?

today I'm documenting that though shall not do that but it would be nice to actively check for crazy combinations.
