Hello Dean Peterson, I could not reproduce what you are experiencing, could you give us more info about your setup?

• your persistence.xml file (or the configurations you use to boot Hibernate OGM)
• what kind of authentication you use for your MongoDB server (and double check that the OGM configuration is using the right username / password)
• the full stacktrace of the failure so that we know where precisely it fails with which message
• the logs leading to that failure (ideally at TRACE level)
