I thought I should also leave some comments regarding Disqus in general based on my current experiments. I like the idea behind it and I like how it looks like. When it comes to the administrative site, I think there is much to be desired. For example

• The comment management is very basic. I would have expected some more advanced search and especially bulk editing functionality. As it stands now comments are paginated 25 per page (not configurable I think) without an indication of how many comments in total. Navigation is always only to the next 25 comments. This is especially bad for the case where we want to weed out comments after the initial import
• Discussions are not deletable (https://help.disqus.com/customer/portal/questions/6515747-how-can-i-delete-discussions-). This might not be a big issue once we have all problems sorted and an operational site. From a development/test aspect it just is a true pita. I would expect to be able to delete discussions as well as comments at will.
• The import functionality seems very flaky. I created a WXR file as per schema which is valid (verified with xmllint). Still I have so far not been able to import all discussions. According to the UI the import is complete, but only a few discussions are imported. No error message or other hint on what the problem could be
