I like that you want to support this. And this comes exactly at the right time. I am currently working on the integration of other JPA implementors for Hibernate-Search and I ended up writing most of the code from ORMs FullTextSession yet again.

And at a first glance what you came up with looks somewhat better. I will grab your source next week and write up a version of my integration that uses your standardized interface and let you know about my findings.
