If this is very complex then yes I'd agree to reject it.

I just hoped that "keeping up to date" would eventually make future upgrades easier, and specifically this upgrade seemed trivial.

The only reason I didn't push it myself is that I didn't test the release process, but the build tasks seemed to work fine.
