Judging from your explanations in HSEARCH-2568 Resolved , it seems you were using the NONE index management strategy and expecting the mass indexer to create the index, which will invariably result in this error, because the mass indexer will never create an index by itself (well, unless you use some dynamic sharding hacks, but that's another matter).

Could you confirm this, so I can close this ticket?
