The release job on CI still uses in-place shell steps, instead the one created by Hardy and commited to SCM (see src/main/release-scripts) should be used. Best to compare the current steps and the committed files to see whether has changed anything.

Also the script for updating the readme.md and changelog.txt files should be mentioned in the release how-to guide.
