Hello Christoph Aigensberger, I’ve tested your reproducer against Oracle with version 6.2.0.Final and the test passes. We have other CI tests verifying attributes converted to String which behave correctly, so it wouldn’t look like an issue with Hibernate.

Let me know if you have other cases which fail that we can test.
