It still is an issue. We don't get an NPE anymore, but validation silently returns an empty set of constraint violations if no executable meta data can be retrieved from the given object type. I think we should throw an exception clearly indicating the issue.
And shouldn't this really be covered by the spec as well?
It might be described, but I think the spec doesn't mention each possible error case, so it's not required IMO.
