Ok, thank you for the information. I am interested to find a way to get more information about schema mismatches but unfortunately schema export creates a schema that is different from what a schema update creates when running on a database created with older hibernate version with schema export and older dialect. But I guess it is at least partly out of the scope of hibernates schema export/update to give reliable information about model changes.
