Well tbh we already have the most "intuitive" solution... the one JPA says should happen.

If we add this compliance setting to disable that (and throw an exception) then I absolutely disagree that this log message should be anything other than a debug. I mean, this actually fits exactly the definition I personally have to DEBUG.
