Sorry, I don't have access to a DB2 v9 zOS anymore and the v10 supports the trim-function. But according to "git blame" the code used for trim on DB2 seems to be untouched since the mentioned rework for
HHH-6655
, so I'm quite sure that the bug is still valid. In the other hand according to the age of this issue and the general availability of DB2 v11 zOS since two years I'm not sure if anyone is still affected by this issue...
