Vlado and Guillaume,
You are both right the descriptor is missing. I've investigated where things went wrong in development. I have found the descriptor file on my system but not added to Git. The necessary file being similar but not identical to the version posted by Vlado.
I'll work with Hibernate team to get this into the next release.
