For no zero counts Facet and no sorting by facet/field value I shall have a look on a patch at Lucene level. I do not forsee anything that could be done at HS level using Lucene Facet engine.
I shall go deeper on the multiple request subject. Not had enough time at work today.
I think the one value limitation has been lifted ... in Lucene 4 :s I shall check that too.
