I am holding off the upgrade to 4.3 as I have no clue what the error is actually suggesting. However, sooner or later I'll have to upgrade for an up to date JPA implementation.

But not being as Hibernate savvy as Fabrice, I would certainly appreciate this problem being fixed. I'd rather not start hacking into something as crucial as our data backend.
