Needless to say that it would be very nice if this got addressed and fixed for 4.1.10 as I rely on "auto lazy-load" now and am unable to upgrade Hibernate to above 4.1.7, which was the last working version.
EclipseLink handles this just fine but I'm not eager to port my app
