Sascha Fröhlich: Just of curiosity, bootstrapping a validator using a custom provider resolver didn't do the trick for you? When creating a pull request based on the 1.0.0.GA tag, make sure to select/enter that tag in the "base" drop-down and use your branch in the "compare" drop-down.
