Do you have a practical end-result of this that I can use in testing, as opposed to just reflecting into internal state? Is the idea simple what is laid out in HHH-7688 as what Spring does (even though the Hibernate docs explicitly calls this out as not supported)?

I have the basic test working (we get the expected SQLException during batched execution). But I do not know the assertions to make to verify what you are reporting
