Hi,

is there any news on a solution for 5.2 users? I think it is very unfortunate to deprecate something without providing a better/new way of doing things or a timeline when we could expect 6.x (which does seem quite far away from an outside perspective). Leaving users with deprecation warnings they eventually need to suppress is suboptimal in my opinion.
