Since it works for you when using Alpha1, I guess it's some subtle detail, probably even a regression, which implies that it's unintended (and hence undocumented) and that we should report it as soon as you figure out some more details. Not saying you need to fix it, but we obviously need some more details for the report to be of any use to Bela.
Also since it works totally fine for me I think our test setup is ok, unless you're hitting some subtlety related to platform differences, but then again I'd need to know more about your messages.

Please enable TRACE at JGroups level and share the logs?
