Thank you for this bug report. I created another ticket to address the issue you're having with Hibernate ORM 5.2.6.Final: HSEARCH-2542 Open
About the issue with the ID not being populated, could you please tell me if it also happens in your application when using Hibernate ORM 5.2.1.Final? In tests at least, it does not, which may indicate a regression in Hibernate ORM. I'll look into it anyway once HSEARCH-2542 Open is fixed.
