For the record, I wouldn't mind adding it in the next 5.4 considering it's clearly something missing. We already tuned a bit StatelessSession lately.

If we say Hibernate Search 6 is compatible with ORM 5.4.2+, it's OK IMHO. Especially since it will be released far before Search 6 so it won't be the latest bleeding edge version.

It's not ideal but I could live with it.
