I agree, we will want to have such things work nicely out of the box. But I'm not sure yet of what we'll decide to do: in theory Byte Buddy will release a new version which doesn't need the flag.

The main theme here is that libraries such as Hibernate and Byte Buddy (and many others) need to wait for JDK11 to be actually released to be able to fully "claim" that we're compatible; so we're at fault by not having much documentation on this yet, and maybe it would be nice if Byte Buddy could already remove the need for that flag very soon.
