Sorry for the mess around moving to and from the Hibernate Validator project. The bug is indeed in beanvalidation-api.
We did fix it in the next version as per

Alexander Müller in which environment do you use it? Since the bug is in the API jar itself, the app server you used might have to fix that one.

Hardy Ferentschik, Gunnar Morling should we spin a Bean Validation API 1.0.1 to fix that one?
