Yes, exactly. Last time I checked (which is long time ago), the query parser didn't support translation of functions like count yet. It's worth discussing with Davide D'Alto et al. though where they are in terms of moving to SQM (ORM's new query parser) and whether it's still worth to "invest" into the old one.
