You can make existing releases of >=5.2.13 or 5.3.x work by creating a custom snapshot with commit https://github.com/hibernate/hibernate-orm/commit/2bfe30009c15ea59c587d11714d4be78b14f9ad9 reverted. This reverts to the situation where HHH-12842 Open and HHH-12436 Open are absent, but will undo the fix for HHH-9460 Closed .
