Well the tests are just so much more complex than they need to be.

So here is what I will do... I will write a test using Hibernate JPA and JBossTS in a "managed JTA" way. If I can reproduce what you say then I will fix it for my test. If I cannot, I will reject this.

I will fix it for your test as soon as you can get me a test that I can actually add to and use in the Hibernate test suite.
