Emanuel – Thanks for taking the time and effort to build c3p0 against JDBC4. That's most of what it takes to support the new spec, it's embarrassing that the public releases aren't there yet.
I'm trying to close the door on c3p0-0.9.2, which will be the last version built against JDK1.4/1.5/JDBC3, but I'd like that release to support Hibernate 4.1 if possible. I've implemented a (temporary, much less elegant) fix to what I understand is the problem, but I could use some help testing it against Hibernate 4.1. If anyone is willing, please get in touch, I'm swaldman at mchange.com.
