Well I would not hold my breath until after 5.0 to be honest.
I have had 2 reports of this, and guess what? Both involved Spring in the mix. In fact in the other one (reported on the dev list) I actually took his code and removed Spring and guess what? Yep... it worked. Having Spring in the mix can and has been the real cause of problems I have investigated before. I won't sit here and debate SSCCE style testing with you. But if its not worth the effort for you to isolate, you can probably how my effort it is worth to me.
And really I have no problem per-se with Maven in the mix. Honestly I will simply ignore that part. In fact I said so in my first reply.
