This reminds me... one thing we ought to do is to support `classpath://` uris like we do for XML processing.

If this is what you mean by relative - (1) that would not be a bug, it was never supported and (2) something I agree we should support.

But if you mean relative to the PWD for the Java process or something else file-system based... I disagree.
