Why do you believe this is a regression? Just because it is different doesn’t mean it is wrong. Unless you share how the change impacts your app, there is nothing further to discuss. Even though we re-added a special single id lookup SQL statement in 6.3 we might just as well remove that again, unless someone can actually show that this change has any impact.
