4.I've tried all the "affected" versions, but not the 4.3beta series (I can't due to some dependency conflict).

Have you tried to execute the code when there are no UserData?

Hibernate throws a NPE while deleting objects from an entity with a query like this one:
{code}
DELETE FROM UserData d WHERE d.user = :user
{code}

The problem is present only from hibernate 4.2.2+, while versions up to version 4.2.1 it works fine.

The stack trace is:
