Shawn, you are preaching to the choir in terms of what should have happened in an ideal world. I totally agree (and said this up front) that treating null comparisons as deterministic is not what most of us expect. So hopping in my time machine, no question I think this should have been treated as a new feature and a new set of methods added to nullness-checking and equality-checking as functionality equivalent.
