While we do not rely on Aries specifically, Aries is what we softly target and all we test against at the moment. It is also the e-OSGi JPA adapter we pull in our Karaf feature file.

So IIUC really I can just close this as "no need to do anything here" (with the caveat "as long as using Aries")?
