This really comes down to whether we want to view information defined in the persistence.xml not as a property (here using the dedicated <jta-data-source/> element) as properties.

To re-iterate, this did not work this way in previously versions either (I verified using 4.3). I’m inclined to say that we should not; to me its confusing to a degree that I can access a non-property via the EMF properties.
