We've had some other recent reports about the original changes in HHH-11019 Closed and the other mini-fixes thereafter including this one. We've decided its best to revert all these changes completely and restore the original behavior. You shouldn't experience any of these issues moving forward once HHH-13164 Open is included in 5.4.1.
