Well as Hardy points out, it is not possible to support this and follow the spec. It is not possible to alter the WorkOrder class (notice - not WorkOrder_!!) to add WorkOrderId_. That is the crux here.

Of course JPA does not define support for nested domain classes at all, so we are already extending the spec here - so it possible to just create it as {{
