The bug is dead obvious. You have two entities tied by a @ManyToMany from same catalog/schema, you should just use the same catalog/schema as parent-child. No offense, but it probably takes me more time to comment here and hell more time to write a unit test than it would take for an active and experienced Hibernate developer to fix this in code.
