In my case, Spring Petclinic is a sample application so people should be able to run it when using default configuration on most app servers. Anyway, that's not a blocking issue for me, I can use HV 4.3.1 for now.
It would be great if you could find a workaround for that, I'm sure loads of people will benefit from it (not only for Tomcat but also for users on Websphere,Weblogic...).
