Chris! So excited to see you working on this issue. I'll take a look today or tomorrow and get back to you but from what I've read, that seems to be a reasonable solution with only modifying envers code. I would love to get on a standard Hibernate distrib in my environment (we've been stuck on my custom built one for a while) so it would be welcome.
