It depends on how many concurrent users/connections you have, but it should scale up to 4 ~ 8 nodes in sync mode, and probably up to about 30 ~ 40 nodes in async mode.  All depends on your hardware though.

I can write some instruction in a wiki i.e.

Maybe use github or something for now.  Github gives you a wiki as well for simple instructions, etc.  And based on community feedback you could contribute it to the Jetty project or it could continue to live as a standalone integration project.
