That's exactly what I was going to propose. The module is independent, the PR does not touch core, so as long as it was reviewed, works and it has sufficient test coverage I would integrate it now and flag it as experimental.

There will still be critical bugs fixed between CR2 and Final so I would avoid forking if possible. Do we really need a 5.3 fork next week?

Then simpler just to integrate in it in 5.2 and release it as experimental. Either way you prefer.

Yes I think that would work, assuming we start releasing at least some
alpha of 5.3 quickly?

Otherwise I'd prefer it as an experimental feature in 5.2: the reason
is we have other work to move forward which needs a tagged version of
the MongoDB Cachestore; there are some volunteers stalled waiting on
this so I'm afraid that delaying it too much will turn them off.

Hi Sanne,

I'd like to fork 5.2.x immediately after Friday's CR2 and continue the
development for 5.3 on master (where this stuff will be integrated).
Would that work for you?

Hi all,
I'd like to integrate Guillaume's work with MongoDB integration soon,
but since we're in CR phases I need some advice.

Shall we wait after Final for the next development cycle, or maybe
merge it and mark as experimental?

If this needs to be kept out of 5.2 then I'm look forward for a new
branch where we can merge such works.

Same question for the Lucene4 support, which also will be ready soon.

Cheers,
Sanne
