It's a bug in Ubuntu regarding SWT support, that got fixed in more recent Ubuntu versions (14.04 has this fixed IIRC).I am also facing the same issue. After installing JDBS (jbdevstudio-product-universal-7.1.1.GA-v20140314-2145-B688.jar) on UBUNTU 1310. Menus are not expanding or opening? Is there any log file?
